Online social networking site Facebook.com may be coming public in the near future if you look into a new job position that the company is looking to fill.

According to an ad on Craigslist, Facebook.com is seeking a Stock Administration Manager whose responsibilities will include:

Strong knowledge of SEC, FASB, and IRS rules and regulations relating to stock plans and insider trading (including SEC Section 16, SEC Rules 144, 145 and 701, FASB 123R, and IRC Sections 83, 409A, 421, 422 and 423).

The company has recently expanded by opening registration to the general public (not just college students) and primary reports have said that growth is really strong.

Just last year, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg had been rumored to turn down an offer in the billion dollar range, and an IPO would surely create an even bigger market cap for the company. If I were to guess, I would say that Facebook will be a publicly traded stock sometime next year.
