The surprising thing about this blog is, even though it hasn’t been updated much last year, it still attracted quite a bit of search engine traffic which in turn created decent earnings for a stale site.

Now that I’m back to updating it daily, I hope I can grab some new visitors as well as bring back some of my older ones. I never really planned for this blog to make any money but since it did at one point get 200-300 visitors a day it was only smart to monetize it.

For January the blog made $211.55.

Here is how the earnings broke down:

• Google Adsense: $57.79
• Ad Sales: $111.74
• Affiliate Commissions: $42.02

From what I can remember, during its peak the blog was making around $300 a month so $211.55, for what was a stale blog the first 24 days of the month, isn’t bad at all.

Now that I’m updating again, hopefully some other bloggers will decide to link in and throw some traffic my way to help bring the income to new record levels.

I’ve been meaning to put a visitor counter on the blog but have not done so yet. I believe I took off the old code when I switched to Word Press.
